The night of Potala (2)

Lhasa is a amazing place. Many city men resigned their job and packed a simple bag to Lhasa. Some of them even spend a year or more in Lhasa.

Tourist resources in Lhasa are plenty. There are good hotels, tasty restaurants, travel agencies, Chinese department stores and supermarkets.

In some parts of the city, you may find no difference to other Chinese cities. But the Tibetan influence is still strong and evident, especially around the old quarters near Barkhor Street.

Lhasa is famous for the great building, the Potala Palace. It is the holiest and greatest Palace in the world. It is named after Mount Potalaka, the mythical abode of Chenresig or Avalokitesvara.
